“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable” (Isaiah 40:28).
Israel is in Babylonian captivity and, evidently in the depths of despair when God has Isaiah write this description of “the everlasting God.” The attempt is to convince the Israelites of the matchless and incomparable nature of Jehovah, the only true God.
They are feeling so weary and discouraged that the prophet sees the need to remind the people that it is this God—full of majesty, concern, stamina, and power—on whom they can rely for all things.
Contextually, it appears Isaiah is saying God will not grow weary of dealing with them in spite of their past disappointment to Him—and, as He is about to assure them, He even gives strength to those who do grow weary.
While God does not deal with us in the New Testament Age as directly as He did with the Israelites back then, we should feel assured that He does not know grow weary of us in spite of our human weaknesses. He has made every spiritual provision that was needed for us to come to Heaven through our submission to Him and His Will.
