Evangelist Brett Hickey was born in Dallas, Texas. His parents were members of the Church Of Christ. His father, Jim Hickey, worked for over 40 years as an evangelist in the United States and Mexico. Brother Hickey obeyed the gospel at age 14 under the preaching of Jerry Dickinson.

Brother Hickey began hosting Let the Bible Speak in Springfield, MO, in 2008 when brother Ronny Wade moved to LaGrange, GA.

Brother Hickey has worked as a full-time evangelist since 1993. He worked with congregations in Mountain Home, AR (11 years—2 stints), Ventura, CA (3 years), Tyler, TX (4 years), Nashville, TN (4 years), Lewisville, TX (5 years), Sherman, TX (3.5 years) and he has worked with the Allen congregation (1000 E. Exchange Parkway) since 2024.

Brother Hickey holds 15 to 20 gospel meetings a year in the US. Brother Hickey’s evangelistic work has taken him to England, Jamaica, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Sweden.

Brother Hickey has written for the Christian Expositor, Old Paths Advocate, and Christian Informer. Brother Hickey also publishes the Let the Bible Speak

Brother Hickey and his wife Louise have been married 33 years. They have two children: Joey and Serena.
